1966 Mustang Convertible

 This Mustang convertible in the original color Wimbledon White.  

"Numbers Matching" Wimbledon White with Blue/White Deluxe Interior, correct as from the factory . 289 V8 "C" code 2 barrel carb, Automatic Transmission, correct as from the factory in '66.

Non-power drum brakes. Options include power steering, AM radio , Air Conditioning , Power Top and Console.

The car has all the correct Pony Interior options including ; wood grain appliqués on dash, simulated wood steering wheel, deluxe door panels with courtesy lights, embossed Pony on seat backs .Paint is excellent high gloss with no sign of checking, fading or peeling. Body panels are straight, brightwork good to excellent. Interior is very good to excellent with no rips, tears etc. showing nominal wear .

4 matching radial tires 70% wear . Headlights, hi-beam lo beam , turn signals , taillights and brake lights all OK Gauges found to be functional, ammeter responsive but only slight movement +/-charge. Wipers, heater all OK. Horn works on only one button of horn ring.

Engine compartment clean and detailed, *no* valve cover leaks, power steering pump leaks etc. Heavy duty radiator appears to be relatively new or re-cored Undercarriage and floor pans rust free, No evidence of tweaks welds, accident damage or major repairs to undercarriage/unibody.

Rear / Front drums good, newer wheel cylinders with absolutely no sign of oozing brake fluid, rear axles seals good with no rear end gear oil fluid leakage, 80% brake shoe left all around. Engine oil pan seal / rear main seal very clean and tight, no sign of oil leaks.

Very slight transmission fluid leak noted at transmission rear seal, does not appear to be excessive or problematic. Engine compression between 115-125 PSI all cylinders indicating good even compression. The car starts first time from cold, idled well with no hesitation or missing. Accelerated briskly, tracks straight without pulling right or left. Very nice example of a 1966 Mustang Convertible !
