1966 Mustang GT Fastback

1966 Mustang Fastback in Sapphire Blue. This is a factory GT that has its original door data plate & VIN stamp on the front fender apron under the hood. Mustang aficionados will appreciate the fact that only 5% of all Mustangs were offered as GT cars, and this one has a factory ordered Pony Interior making it a rare, collectible investment grade car. It has an 'A' code 225 horsepower 289 V8 engine, front disk brakes, fog lights and dual exhaust through the valance. The car is finished in PPG two stage Sapphire Blue. This is a period correct Shelby color that was only available as a special order for the production coupes, fastbacks and convertibles. This car sits on new BF Goodrich Radial T.A. tires and 15" American Racing rims.

The Pony Interior includes wood grain appliqu�s around the 5 dial instrument bezel and on the glovebox, embossed running Ponies and chrome trim on the seatbacks; special "Pistol Grip" door handles and working red and white door courtesy lights. The car has the original Pony Interior simulated wood grain (plastic) steering wheel.The car has the optional low profile Rally Pac above the steering column with working 8000 RPM tach and clock.

The engine bay is dressed with Ford Racing chrome valve covers. The rebuilt air conditioning compressor is the original iron type, not the aluminum aftermarket replacement. The engine breaths through a Demon 750 CFM double pumper carburetor. The car starts and runs perfectly. Dual exhaust bellow a beautiful throaty roar. The clutch works properly with no chatter or binding, the 4 speed transmission shifts smooth .

All the weather-stripping, window whiskers etc. are soft, subtle and new. The trunk is finished and painted. All the lights, from the fog's to the backup lights work as they should. All the gauges, horn, heater fan and controls work as they should. Window regulators, doors & locks, 2 + 2 fold down rear seat, and trunk lid all align as they should. The functional rear side louvered vents slide open and closed as designed. This '66 Mustang Fastback was inspected and verified to be a true by GT by Mustang Dreams . It was shipped to a U.S. client.
