Red 1965 Mustang with White Interior The car was originally Prairie Bronze with Palomino (Tan color) interior. First sold in Los Angeles district, equipped with a C4 three speed automatic transmission and 2.80 : 1 axle ratio Options include power steering, front disk brakes. Working AC, the underdash unit cosmetics are a modern repro that mimic but do not duplicate the underdash dealer available option. Most likely the car is running R-134 as the R-12 has not been used in California for a long time. I will ask the owner if he knows. You can also tell by looking at the recharge ports on the AC lines, the later R-134 ones are different and will not accept the normal R-12 feed. The car has undergone a complete color change, now red with white interior. Excellent paint, finished underhood and trunk. One chip in the paint on the passenger side forward fender you can see it in the picture with the hood open near the radiator support. Clean detailed engine compartment, not quite show perfect but very nice. The undercarriage is solid, rust free . As nice as they come for a 1965 Mustang Coupe with original floor pans ! Sits on newer Sears handler 205 R 75 14 tires with 85% tread left. All windows go up and own, fresh rubber window, door and trunk weatherstrip. The interior is immaculate new. It has the embossed "Pony Interior" style seats, as well as an aftermarket wood steering wheel. It has correct Pony Interior pistol style door handles and vinyl. It is not a correct Pony Interior car; the factory correct steering wheel is fake wood grain plastic (not real wood), also the instrument set is the rectangular; 1965 Pony interior cars had the 5 round dial instrument bezel set and fake wood grain decals. In 1966 all cars, Pony Interior or not had the 5 round dial bezel. The idiot lights AMP & OIL work correctly. The gas and temp gauge work correctly. The car starts, idles, accelerates and stops as it should with no pulling right and left; the test drive was done on the airport runway ! The car shifts correctly in all 3 automatic gears. Beautiful, classy example of a 1965 Mustang Coupe ! |
